Getting The Most Out Of Your BeerBeer is a precious commodity, and since you pay good money for
it, you might as well bring out the best in it. I've discovered
a simple trick to improve my beer's taste, and it involves
drinking it at the right temperature. Here's what I do:
1. Rinse out a glass with water.
2. "Shake" the glass upside down over the sink so that a few
drops of water remain in it (don't dry the glass).
3. Put the glass into the freezer, along with your favorite
refrigerated beer, but make sure to remove the beer within 15 to
20 minutes so it doesn't freeze! Some freezers may chill the
beer faster than others, so you may want to freeze the beer for
only 10 minutes. After the beer has chilled, poor the now really
cold beer into the glass and enjoy.
If you drink the "big 3" (Bud, Miller, or Coors) consider trying
some imports or microbrews instead. Once you've tried them, you
may never go back! Here are some of my favorite beers:
1. Sierra Nevada Pale Ale
2. Anchor Steam
3. Samual Adams Boston Ale
4. Becks Dark
5. Guiness Draft Beer
6. Shiner Bock
7. Bass
8. Pete's Wicked Ale
9. Henry Weinhard's Private Reserve
10. New Belgium 1554 Brussels Style Black Ale
These beers do cost a little more, but remember, you get what
you pay for. If you really like beer, consider brewing your own
at home with "Mr. Beer". You can get one at the following link:
